BOURBON – Mari Lynn Border, 64, Bourbon, passed away peacefully at 8:45 a.m. Sept. 14, 2012, in her residence in the care of her husband and Hospice. She was born July 31, 1948, in Argos, to Max and Dora Mae Hinkle Deamer. On Aug. 24, 1969, she married Jerry Border, who survives. She was a commercial pilot instructor with a Double “I” Instrument Instructors license, held a sea plane rating and multi-engine rating license. She had taught as an instructor at Culver Military Academy, Sky Stream of Plymouth and managed the Nappanee Airport for several years. She was a longtime member of the Mentone Flying Club, Christian Motorcycle Association and a faithful member of the Warsaw First United Methodist Church, where she played guitar and keyboard in the praise band. She was a graduate of Argos High School. Also surviving are a brother, Ed (and spouse Jinney) Hill, Fairburn, Ga. She was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Deamer. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in The Connection, Warsaw First United Methodist Church, 1692 W. Lake St., Old U.S. 30, Warsaw, IN 46580, with the Rev. Toni Carmer officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos. Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S.
