Margaret ‘Maggie’ BarryMargaret “Maggie” Barry, age 80, of Warsaw, passed away Jan. 17, 2022.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1941, in Syracuse, to Chester and Carrie Levine Droke.
Maggie was a former North Webster resident where she graduated high school. She then went on to graduate from Ravenscroft Beauty School and moved to Warsaw. On Nov. 28, 1963, in Warsaw, she was united in marriage to John Huck Barry.
She worked as a beautician prior to being married and then a full-time mom to raise her five children. She loved her five children, five grandchildren and great-grandchild. She also loved her pets. She will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include sons: Andrew (Linette) Barry, Greg (Amy) Barry; daughters: Jennifer (Cooper) Stutzman, Pam Barry, Nancy (David) England; grandchildren: Tiffany (Lance) Everts, Wes England, Bryce England, Jacob Stutzman, Caley Stutzman: and great-grandchild, Zoey Everts.
She was preceded in death by her husband; foster parents: Evert and Rosa Smith; parents: Chester and Carrie Droke; brothers: Edward, Arthur and Ronald Droke; sisters: Annabel Droke, Marry Billet and Betty Grile.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Jan. 23 from 2 to 5 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Steve Rahn officiating. Interment at later date will be in Mock Cemetery North Webster.
Masks are optional, and social distancing is encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
