Margaret E. Garman Margaret E. Garman, 85, died at 4:33 p.m. May 10, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born June 21, 1926, in Warsaw, to Robert L. Chinworth and Lillie McSherry Chinworth. On Jan. 3, 1946, in Wabash, she married Jack Garman, who died Nov. 9, 1988. A lifetime Atwood area resident, she worked at First National Bank, Warsaw, then Kosciusko County Auditor’s Office from which she retired. A 1944 Warsaw High School graduate, she was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood, and was a part of its Missionary Society when younger. She was a member of the Kosciusko County Historical Society, Red Hats and Warsaw Order of the Eastern Star, She loved her family dearly, loved to sew and quilt, made a quilt for each of the grandchildren when they were born and when they graduated from high school. She made Easter and Christmas dresses for the granddaughters and Christmas sweatshirts for everyone. She made Barbie Doll clothes for Barbara Jo and Elaine when they were little and enjoyed baking for all of the holidays. She loved the Lord, her church family, especially her pastor, Jerry Thomas and his wife, Joanne. Surviving are two daughters: Elaine (and spouse Jerry) Fike, Georgetown, Del., and Barbara Jo (and spouse Michael) Eyster, Durham, N.C.; three sisters, Kathryn I. “Kate” Bouse and Dora Jane Engle, both of Warsaw, and Elizabeth Ann Holt, Marion; six grandchildren: Megan (and spouse Alan) Jordan, Timothy (and spouse Nieca) Fike, and Emily Fike, all of Georgetown, Del., Julie Eyster, San Antonio, Texas, and David and Mark Eyster, both of Durham, N.C.; a great grandson, Eli’jah; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert Chinworth, who died in 1944, Wallace Chinworth, who died in 1975 and John L. Chinworth, who died in 1979; and a sister-in-law, Jane Chinworth, who died in 2012. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home,Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Thomas, Otterbein United Methodist Church, Atwood, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
