SYRACUSE - Margaret F. Aleshire, 79, Syracuse, passed away Nov. 25, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital.
She was born March 14, 1931, in Cabincreek, W.Va., to Jesse and Nell Keller Cantrell. On Aug. 1, 1947, she married Newman Mullins, who preceded her in death Oct. 3, 1963. On Oct. 30, 1964, she married Claude Aleshire, who preceded her in death Dec. 16, 1994.
She was an elementary school teacher at H.E. White Elementary School in Beaumont, W.Va. On Dec. 31, 1968, she moved to the Syracuse area and retired from Dana Corp. in 1992. She was a member of the United Auto Workers.
She is survived by her daughter, Anna (and spouse John) McNamara, Topeka; two sons, Rex (and spouse Cindy) Mullins, Cromwell, and Robert (and spouse Dixie) Mullins, Milford; a brother, Abe Cantrell, Spokane, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and 29 great-children. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger Mullins, in 2008.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Eastlund Funeral Home. Burial will be at Syracuse Cemetery.
