NORTH MANCHESTER - Margaret E. Graham, 79, of Laketon, died at 6:11 p.m. Dec. 22, 2007, in her residence.

She was born May 24, 1928, in Newton, Ill., to Frank and Irene Brown Schackman. On June 30, 1950, she married John R. Graham, who survives.

She was a homemaker, hostess at East End Lunch and manager of Area 5 Nutrition for 13 years. She was a 1946 graduate of Newton (Ill.) High School. She was a life member and past president of American Legion Post 286 Auxiliary; past Fifth District president of American Legion Auxiliary; a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Rochester; and a member of Women of the Moose and Eagles lodges, North Manchester, and Huntington Salon of 40&8. She served as chaplain of these organizations, leading devotions and prayer. She was a member of St. Robert's Catholic Church, North Manchester.

Also surviving are two sons, the Rev. Harold (and spouse Becky) Graham, Fort Wayne, and Joe (and spouse Annette) Graham, Silver Lake; three daughters: Barbara (and spouse Frank) Schaetzle, Bourbon; Linda (and spouse Charles) Davis, Smithville, Tenn.; and Tina (and spouse John) Duckett, Etna Green; two brothers, James (and spouse Virginia) Schackmann, Toledo, Ill., and Robert (and spouse Sharon) Schackmann, North Manchester; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and a brother.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 5 at St. Robert's Catholic Church, North Manchester, with Father Ronald Ramenaden officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.

Calling is two hours prior to the service Jan. 5 at the church.
