SYRACUSE – Margaret Anne Darr, 82, Syracuse, passed away Feb. 20, 2016, at her home, following a short setback in her health.
She was born Sept. 25, 1933, in Celeryville, Ohio, to Arthur and Myrtle Bushong Robinson. On June 16, 1952, she married Ray E. Darr, in Syracuse, who passed away in 2002.
She was a graduate of Syracuse High School, and was active in the Goodwill home economics club for over 60 years, as well as belonging to the Hi Neighbors club. She was on the 4-H council, was an active member of New Salem Church of the Brethren, where she served on several committees.
She loved to cook and bake, and enjoyed the company of her cousin, Alice Rose Leazenby of Syracuse.
She is survived by three children: Dennis R. (and spouse Leslie) Darr, Syracuse, Denise (and spouse Mark) Grady, North Webster and Doreen (and spouse Douglas) Ruch, Milford. She enjoyed her six grandchildren: Matt (and spouse Wendy) Grady, Cheryl (and spouse Mike) Van Laeken; Katie Darr, Kelly Darr; Jenna (and spouse A. J.) Risedorph and Grant (and spouse Alexis) Ruch. She had five great-grandchildren: Carter and Kenlee Grady, Brynn Van Laeken and Quinlynn Risedorph and Avery Ruch. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her four brothers: Grover, Jim, Tom and Robert Robinson, and her sister, Mary Jane Miller and one great-granddaughter, Makenna Van Laeken.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Eastlund, with Pastor Tim Yoder officiating. The graveside service will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
