Marcia Anne Ogden, 68, of North Manchester, died at 7:57 p.m. July 9, 2010, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born Feb. 16, 1942, in Melrose Park, Ill., to Chester C. and Marcella Hooe Alexander.
She graduated from Elgin High School in 1960 and North Central College, Naperville, Ill., in 1965. She received master's degrees from Western Connecticut State and Indiana University, where she also did her doctoral work. She was a member of Manchester Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are two children, Timothy (and spouse Patricia) Ogden, Pendleton, and Jolane (and spouse Samuel) Rohr, North Manchester; nine grandchildren; a brother, Craig (and spouse Cindy) Alexander, McLean, Ill.; and a sister, Sharon Alexander (and Scott Rexinger) Alexander, Scottsdale, Ariz.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Manchester Church of the Brethren with Pastor Joan Deeter officiating.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, North Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
