MILFORD - Governor Mitch Daniels this week honored Maple Leaf Farms Inc. with the Governor's Half Century Business Award during an Indiana Statehouse ceremony.
Eighty-seven Indiana companies were honored for their longevity and community service with the Governor's Century or Half Century Awards during this year's ceremony.
"These companies are the foundation of economic growth for our state. Home-grown Indiana companies like these provide the stability and longstanding community involvement that typifies our traditional Hoosier values," said Governor Daniels.
Founded in 1958, Maple Leaf Farms is a third generation family-owned company that has grown to become North America's premier producer of White Pekin duck products. Its quality products can be found in retail and food service markets throughout the world.
