Manchester Wins Wabash County Meet, Lady Squires 3rd

NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester boys track team won the Wabash County meet Tuesday, and the Lady Squires were third overall. The Squires’ Heath Dierks and Gavin Ream captured the top two spots in the discus, and the 4x800 relay team of Lance Bennett, Thomas Rohr, Brandon Wagoner and Jon Rich won in 8:43.42. Rohr was an individual double winner, taking the 1600 and 3200, and Colin McNeeley won the 100 for Manchester. Rae Bedke set a county record in the 1600, winning it in a time of 5:13.38, and she also won the 800. Bailey Sewell won the discus, and the Lady Squires won two relays, the 4x100 (Katie Barker, Ali Casper, Emma Casper, and Tahnee Fuentes) and the 4x800 (Emily Lynn, Natasha Niccum, Anna Osborn and Clara Burdette). Next up for the Manchester track teams is the Three Rivers Conference meet, to be held on the Indiana Wesleyan University campus in Marion on May 10.
