AKRON – Manchester High School’s boys and girls track teams scored dominating wins at Three Rivers Conference rival Tippecanoe Valley Thursday night. In the boys meet, the Squires won 12 of the 15 events and came away with a 90-31 victory. Colin McNeeley set two personal-best times for Manchester, winning the 100 in 10.88 seconds and the 200 in 22.7 seconds. By comparison, Carmel’s Austin Roberts won the state championship in the 100 last year as a senior with a time of 10.83 seconds, while then-junior Will Collins of Marion was second at 10.91. McNeeley also anchored the winning 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams Thursday. Valley scored wins in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and long jump with senior Deontee Smith. On the girls side, Manchester won 11 of the meet’s 15 events and posted a 92-31 victory. The Lady Squires’ dominance was evident, as they swept the top three finishes in the high jump, 100 and 3,200. Individual winners for the Lady Vikings were Lexie O’Connell (100 hurdles), Karly Kitch (1600), Breanna Kruger (300 hurdles) and Makayla Ruiz (shot put).
