Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
NORTH MANCHESTER - Three arrests were made during a Thursday drug sweep at North Manchester High School.
North Manchester Police Department Chief Linda Learned said the drug sweeps are conducted randomly and without warning a couple times each year.
The department's K9 was taken through the school building and around cars in the parking lot to sniff for drugs.
The three arrests resulted from the parking lot sweep, Learned said.
Arrested were:
• Jediah Carandante, 19, of Silver Lake, who was charged with possession of marijuana and booked into the Wabash County Jail.
• Jessica Davis, 18, of North Manchester, who was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia and booked into the WCJ.
• A 16-year-old male was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Officials declined to release the student's name.
