Manchester Swim Teams Sweep Oregon-DavisNORTH MANCHESTER – Halle Briner, Cora Barnett and Parker York were double winners for the Manchester High School swim teams in their sweep of visiting Oregon-Davis Wednesday evening.
The Manchester girls won 114-21 while the boys earned a 61-36 victory.
Freshman Briner, the holder of seven school records, won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke for the Lady Squires. Barnett took first in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. Skye Fierstos won the 200 individual medley and was second in the breaststroke. Margaret Myers won the 500 free, Anna Markham the 100 free and Lillian Myers was first in the 50 free and second in the backstroke.
Lydia Greer was second in the 100 free and third in the backstroke. Emma Burlingame had third-place finishes in the 50 and 200 freestyles, Hailey Hall was third in the 100 free and Kennedy Rosen took third in the backstroke.
York won the 200 IM and the butterfly for the Squires in the boys meet, and Jacob Slavkin won the backstroke. Luke Donathan won the 100 free and was second in the 200 IM, and Eric Morales was first in the 500 free and second in the 50 free. Logon Perkins took third in the backstroke.
Both the boys and girls teams won all three relay races contested.
The Squire teams will compete in the Three Rivers Conference Meet at Maconaquah Saturday.
