Manchester Swim Teams Lead Roundup With Dominating Wins

NORTH MANCHESTER — The Manchester boys and girls swim teams didn’t have any problems against Oregon-Davis Wednesday night. In the boys’ 114-12 victory, Noah Cain (200 free, 500 free), Colin Garcia (200 IM, 100 fly) and Ross Messer (100 free, 100 breast) each won two individual events and were a part of two winning relays. For the girls, who won 113-19, Andrea Roesner (200 IM, 100 fly) and Alison Smith (100 free, 200 free) each won two individual events and took part on first-place relay teams. Tuesday in Culver At Culver Academies Tuesday night, the Warsaw boys swim team won 132.5-52.5, but the girls lost 97-86. In the boys victory, Jayden Parrett (100 free, 100 back), Spencer Davidson (50 free, 100 breast) and Zach Taylor (200 IM, 500 free) each won two individual events and were a part of two winning relay teams. For the girls, Brenna Morgan won the 50 free and 100 free and joined Erin Sandberg, Cynthia Juarez and Ashley Van Wormer on the first-place 200 free relay. For the Lady Tigers, Shannon Winslow finished first in the all-around and Molly Borchers was second. The Lady Tigers host Wawasee Tuesday.
