Manchester Schools to host Centralized Registration

NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester Community Schools will host a centralized registration for the 2014–15 school year, July 24 and 25, at the Manchester Junior-Senior High School.
Registration is required for all students. Parents will be able to apply for lunch and textbook assistance, receive busing information, talk with the school nurse, and pay for lunches and studentʼs textbooks.
Parents are reminded that book rental is due at the time of registration; if this is not possible, payment arrangements are available.
Parents of kindergarten and new first- through third-grade students also will have an opportunity to sign up for The Wabash Promise.
Registration times are:
• July 24, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• July 25, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Families needing language assistance may register from 9 to 10 a.m. July 24.
Kindergarten through sixth-grade textbook fees are: kindergarten $117.73; first grade, $135.75; second grade, $148.68; third grade, $130.64; fourth grade, $123.50; fifth grade, $210.17; and sixth grade, $215.68.
Manchester Junior-Senior High School fees are dependent upon classes taken.
Registration will be the only opportunity to purchase the optional insurance for iPads for fifth through 12th grade at the cost of $40 each. Payment must be in full and separate from textbook fees and lunch deposits.
Lunch prices are: Manchester Elementary and Manchester Intermediate schools, $1.35 breakfast and $2.15 lunch; Manchester Junior-Senior High School, $1.50 breakfast and $2.25 lunch. Reduced breakfast price is 30 cents for all schools, and reduced lunch price is 40 cents for all schools.
The first day of school for students is Aug. 12.
