NORTH MANCHESTER — Manchester High School will be offering the following athletic camps this summer. Girls Basketball This camp is for students in first to eighth grades is set for June 11 to 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. The camp will be directed by varsity head coach Mark Underwood with assistance from the girls basketball staff and the high school players. The cost of the camp per student will be $35, which will include a T-shirt, camp ball and treats. Boys Basketball The boys basketball camp for students in grades kindergarten to eighth grade is set for June 18 to 22. Kindergarten to second grade will run from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., third to fifth grade runs from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and sixth to eighth grade from 3 to 4:30 pm. The camp will be under the direction of Eric Thompson with assistance from the boys basketball staff and the high school players. The camp will cost $10 or $20 dollars for camp and a ball or $30 dollars for camp, ball and T-shirt. Football The football camp is for students in third to eighth grade and will take place between June 25 and 28 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the high school practice fields. The camp will be under the direction of head football coach Brandon Baker with assistance from MJSHS football staff and varsity football players. The cost per camper is $20 and will include a camp T-shirt. Soccer The boys and girls soccer camp is for students in first to eighth grade and will be held from June 4 for 7 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Good Field. The camp will be under the direction of boys soccer coach Dave McKee and girls coach Jacqui Ferguson, as well as the MHS boys and girls soccer players. There will be a cost of $25, which includes a T-shirt. Volleyball Volleyball camp is for students in fifth to eighth grades and will be held on June 19 to 21 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the MHS Gym. The camp will be under the direction head coach Sarah Lochner with assistance from MJSHS assistants and varsity volleyball players. The cost per camper is $30 for camp T-shirt and challenge prizes. Tennis Boys and girls tennis lessons for students in kindergarten to 12th grade is set for June 4 to 6, June 11 to 13 and 19 to 21 from 9 a.m. to noon on the MHS Tennis Courts (College courts may need to be used if MHS courts are being redone). The camp will be under the direction Manchester tennis coach Joel Eichenauer. Fees are based on the level of the player and duration of the session. Girls Golf The girls golf camp will be for students in sixth to 12th grade and will be held June 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sycamore Golf Club. Head coach Pat Brandenburg will instruct with the help of Sycamore pro Todd Sandlow. Cost will be $50 per camper for the four nights of instruction.
