Swimming Saturday in Warsaw Warsaw’s boys swim team defeated Concord 124-61, while the Lady Tigers lost to the Lady Minutemen 130-55. The Tigers, now 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in the Northern Lakes Conference, saw Spencer Davidson win the 50-yard freestyle and the 100 breaststroke, Ethan Cook the 100 freestyle, Zach Taylor the 200 individual medley, and Josh Miller the 100 backstroke. Warsaw also won the 200 medley relay. Warsaw head coach Tony DeBrota said of the Lady Tigers, “While not everyone swam their best, we had some good drops in times for our younger girls. This is promising for a solid base for this team. I was happy the girls accepted the challenge for most of the races Concord gave us.” The Lady Tigers are now 3-5 overall, and 2-5 in the NLC. Next up for the girls are the NLC Championships with preliminaries set for Thursday at Northridge in Middlebury. The boys’ conference meet is set for the following week.
