Manchester Girls Golf Win Leads Local Roundup

NORTH MANCHESTER — The Manchester girls golf team breezed to a 190-267 home win over Northfield Monday.
Playing at Sycamore Golf Club, Manchester was led by medalist Lindsey Budnik’s 40, followed by Jasmine Whitaker’s 47, Claire Barnett’s 49, Nina Smith’s 54 and Erin Working’s 61.
Manchester is back at Sycamore today, hosting Triton.

Playing at Sprig O’Mint Golf Course in Bremen Monday, the LaVille Lady Lancers defeated Tippecanoe Valley 207-271. LaVille’s Lauren Reed was the top performer at the match, shooting a 47, while Valley’s low score was Allyson Ross’ 55. Valley will be at Wabash’s Honeywell Golf Club today to take on Wabash and Southwood then heads to the Culver Academies Thursday.

In Three Rivers Conference action Monday, the Tippecanoe Valley boys tennis team defeated Rochester 5-0 in Akron. Valley’s Nick Kindig was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 1 singles, while the No. 1 doubles team of Clayton Adamson and Derrick Cunningham won 6-2, 6-0. Valley will be at Saturday’s Knox Invitational.
