WABASH - The Manchester Squires had big plays but still came up short in two quarters of play at the Wabash Jamboree Friday evening.
The Squires lost to Wabash 15-7 in the first quarter. Manchester's only score came on a 70-yard drive, highlighted by a 32-yard pass from Brandon Reimer to Neal Scott. Shane Hoffman also had a 23-yard run on the drive. Andy Trickle scored the touchdown on a 4-yard run.
Southwood defeated Manchester 14-7 in the third quarter. Reimer connected with Trickle on a 55-yard touchdown pass for Manchester's only score.
Manchester hosts Heritage next Friday.
BREMEN JAMBOREE
At Bremen, the Bremen Lions defeated the Triton Trojans 14-0 in the first quarter Friday evening. Bremen quarterback Matt LaFree scored on a one-yard sneak, and Ryan Hammons had a 36-yard touchdown run.
Triton and LaVille finished in a 7-7 tie in the fourth quarter. Triton's Scott Blackford scored on a designed 12-yard rollout. He followed the touchdown by kicking the extra point for the tie.
