NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester College’s 2011 fall play takes audiences “Back to Eden” for Homecoming weekend, today through Sunday. A dark and funny version of the story of creation, “Back to Eden” by Yuri Baranovsky will entertain all age groups. The play opens for its three-day run at 7:30 p.m. Thursday on the North Manchester campus. Other performances are 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and students (cash or checks only). Admission is free for Manchester College alumni and students. Reservations are not necessary. With a minimalistic set, the 13-member cast will use the College’s intimate Wampler Auditorium to its fullest. “The script presents an interesting look at the Adam and Eve story, which will engage the minds of our Manchester community while entertaining them with several laughs,” said Manchester College theater director Jane R. Frazier. “Back to Eden” opens with a man and woman playing a mind game in an empty space, uncertain if they are dead or alive. A businessman enters through a door and makes his pitch to sell them a world. Nikki Glassley, senior English major from Westville, and Matthew Winger, sophomore marketing major from Chicago, play the “Adam and Eve” leads as Samantha and Michael.
