Man Reports Ex-Girlfriend Broke Into HouseA Syracuse woman is facing charges after she allegedly broke into her ex-boyfriend’s home.
April Lynn Riddle, 44, of 303 N. Harrison St., #2, Syracuse, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 11:48 p.m. Friday and charged with residential entry, a Level 6 felony; criminal trespass, a Class A misdemeanor; and criminal mischief, a Class B misdemeanor.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Wednesday in Kosciusko Superior Court III, on Jan. 29 Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home after a man called and said Riddle had broken into his house.
Upon arrival, police spoke with the man who said he was in bed sleeping when he heard a noise coming form the entrance door.
According to court papers, the man said he sat up in bed and saw his ex-girlfriend, Riddle, standing in the doorway of his bedroom. The man said he called 911 and escorted Riddle out of the home.
Police observed damage to the door of the home, according to court papers, and Riddle had been previously trespassed from the man’s property.
