Posted
A man who allegedly locked himself in a woman’s bathroom refused to get out of the bathtub when police gained entry.

Todd Douglass Warren, 56, of 3578 N. Barbee Road 1, Warsaw, is scheduled to appear in Kosciusko Circuit Court at 8:15 a.m. Nov. 14 to face charges for possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; criminal trespass and resisting law enforcement, both Class A misdemeanors; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed Wednesday, Warsaw police responded to an apartment Oct. 10 after a woman told police Warren was in her bathroom with the door locked and he hadn’t responded since locking himself in. She also told police she is concerned Warren was using drugs in the bathroom.

Officers were able to gain entry into the bathroom and observed Warren unclothed laying in the bathtub and told him he was trespassing in the residence. Warren refused to get out of the bathtub and leave the home. Officers informed Warren that he was going to be placed under arrest, and they lifted Warren out of the tub and placed him on the floor, but he still refused to get dressed, court papers state.

Warren was taken by ambulance to Kosciusko Community Hospital after he complained of chest pain, and it was discovered he had methamphetamine in his system, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Clothing items located next to the bathtub, belonging to Warren, including Warren’s wallet, contained two small plastic bags and a glass smoking device that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Warren was arrested Oct. 10 and held on a $600 bond.
