On Sept. 21, Warsaw Police officer Phillip Reed responded to a domestic dispute at 1915 E. He held the victim against the door and she slapped him in an effort to make him release her, according to court documents.

She said Whitaker hit her on the face  merous times. Reed saw several injuries to the victim, including a bruised lip, swollen left cheek, swollen right eye and she had teeth marks on her left arm where Whitaker had bit her.

Present in the home while Whitaker allegedly hit the victim was a child under 16.

She said she tried to call 911 during the altercation but Whitaker stopped her by taking away the phone.

A no contact order between Whitaker and the victim was entered on Monday.

An initial hearing was scheduled for 1 p.m. Oct. 11 in Kosciusko County Superior Court III.
