SILVER LAKE - A report available at the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department has provided more information on the Saturday arrest of a Silver Lake man.
Chester Shepherd, 77, of 302 S. Sycamore St., Silver Lake, was booked into Kosciusko County Jail Saturday night on charges of public intoxication and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
According to the KCSD report, Shepherd P. Clutter, 29, West Shutt Avenue, Silver Lake, reported being struck by a vehicle on Shutt Avenue, 200 feet west of Pleasant Street, Silver Lake, Saturday night.
Clutter said he he was struck by the passenger side of the vehicle as it passed.
Clutter complained of leg pain at the scene.
After receiving a description of the car, police arrived at Shepherd's home and placed him under arrest. He was given a portable breath test that registered his blood alcohol content at .17. The legal limit in Indiana is .08.
