Preliminary autopsy results for Greg Frericks were available today, though official results are pending toxicology reports.
According to Kosciusko County Coronor Larry Ladd, all indications are that Frericks died by drowning. In precise terms, it appears that Frericks died from asphyxiation caused by drowning, Ladd said. Ladd also said there were no signs of trauma on the body.
Toxicology reports should be available in about 10 days, allowing a more detailed explanation of what happened April 1.
Frericks was reported missing April 1 and his fishing boat was found in Lake Wawasee April 2. Boaters found his body May 29.
