Man Faces Gun Counts

Posted
A traffic stop led to the discovery of illegal guns and the arrest of a Warsaw man Monday afternoon.

Michael R. Kneller, 30, of Bruner Road, Warsaw, was arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 1:19 p.m. Monday for illegally carrying or possessing a handgun. His bond was set at $500.

Around 12:19 p.m. Monday, the Kosciusko County Dispatch Center received a call about a possible intoxicated driver. When Warsaw Police Officer Allen Danko stopped the vehicle, he discovered three handguns, a box of miscellaneous ammunition and a "handgun permit" badge.

Kneller reportedly did not have a gun permit to carry the weapons.

The badge was not official in any way, and no "handgun permit" badges actually exist.
