Man Faces 3 Counts Of Child MolestingA Warsaw man is facing charges of child molesting after allegedly having sex with a girl since she was 9 or 10 years old.
Jose Luis Izaguirre, 30, of 4198 N. Clemente Court, Warsaw, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 8:22 p.m. Friday for child molesting.
Court documents filed Monday list three charges against him as child molesting, level 1 felonies. His bond was set at $150,000 surety and $25,000 cash.
A Child Protective Services caseworker received information Friday that Izaguirre was having sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 14, according to court documents. The caseworker spoke with the girl, who said when she was about 7 or 8, Izaguirre began touching her. She said she didn’t know that the touching was weird at first because she didn’t know any different but things started to get more sexual.
The girl said as she got older, Izaguirre became more sexual with her. She said when she was 9 or 10 – sometime between 2016 and 2017 – Izaguirre would have sex with her. When she would say no, he would hold her down and yell at her. He also would make her watch pornography, according to court documents.
The girl said that in 2018, Izaguirre would have sex with her about twice a month, the last time being Feb. 22, 2019.
Warsaw Police Dept. Det. Paul Heaton spoke with Izaguirre, who admitted he started touching the girl when she was 7 or 8 years old. He said that after moving to Warsaw, he had sexual relations with her more than 20 times.
Court documents also state Izaguirre admitted that he and the girl would watch pornographic videos together.
