A trailer fire late Sunday night claimed the life of a 42-year-old Etna Green man.
According to Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Sgt. Chris Francis, a call came in at 11:11 p.m. Sunday reporting a mobile home fire in the Etna Green Mobile Home Park, Lot 34.
Neighbors reportedly observed the fire and attempted to make contact with any potential occupants.
Once firefighters were able to extinguish the flames and perform an interior search of the residence, they located the dead body of Arthur J. Peterson.
The incident remains under investigation by KCSO, the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office and the Indiana State Fire Marshal.
Responding agencies included Etna Green and Atwood fire departments, Etna Green first responders, Lutheran EMS, KCSO, Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office and the Indiana State Fire Marshal.
