NORTH WEBSTER - A North Webster man is in critical but stable condition following a Sunday morning accident.

Ute Promkehioh, 59, North Webster, was driving his Qupai Super Retro 50 mo-ped east on CR 400N when he was struck by a Pontiac driven by Whitney Nicole Hobbs, 20, Milford, at the intersection of CR 400N and B3 Lane.

According to police, Hobbs' vehicle went left of the center line.

No accident report was filed at the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department for the accident as of this morning.

The accident is still under investigation with the Kosciusko County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team, according to KCSD Lt. Chris McKeand.

McKeand said no information initially was released because there was uncertainty as to who was driving the Pontiac.

Promkehioh was transported to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, by Samaritan Helicopter with injuries to his head and neck, according to Promkehioh's family.

North Webster EMS and Fire Department were also at the scene.
