A Warsaw man is in critical condition in a Fort Wayne hospital following the collision of his mo-ped with a van Tuesday evening.
Donald Keith Thompson, 24, of 1203 W. Winona Ave., was riding his moped near the intersection of Winona Avenue and Bronson when the accident occurred between himself and Opal S. Nellans, 73, Old Road 30.
Thompson was airlifted from Kosciusko Community Hospital last night to Parkview Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition this morning.
Preliminary investigation of the accident theorizes that Thompson was westbound and Nellans eastbound at the time of the accident, said Patrolman Steve Rockey. The accident remains under investigation by the Warsaw Police Department.
