A Warsaw man booked into jail Friday night is facing five charges for allegedly leading police on a chase.
Charlie Alvin Allen, 24, of 727 W. Center Street, has been preliminarily charged with refusal to submit to chemical testing, resisting law enforcement, criminal mischief, criminal recklessness and public intoxication.
At 11:08 p.m. Friday a Warsaw patrolman attempted to stop Allen on Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw. When Allen refused to stop the officer called for assistance.
According to police reports, two Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department deputies and one Warsaw patrolman boxed in Allen to stop him. Before surrendering to police, Allen reportedly rammed into the police units in front of him and behind him.
Allen is being held without bond in Kosciusko County Jail.
