Man Arrested after Former Warsaw Resident Found Dead

ROSEDALE – A Rosedale man is being held in connection with the death of a 1975 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and former Leesburg resident. Parke County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Rosedale Friday afternoon where they found Kathryn A. Bays, 55, Rosedale, deceased. The Parke County Coroner’s Office ruled her death a homicide by blunt force trauma to the head. The suspect, Earl L. Edwards, 52, Rosedale, was arrested Friday afternoon in Alpharetta, Ga. Edwards is expected to be brought back to Parke County by investigators today to face charges in Parke Circuit Court according to a press release from the Parke County Sheriff’s Department. PCSD is being assisted by Indiana State Police Detectives, Crime Scene Technicians and the Parke County Coroner. Bays’ obituary can be found on page 3 of today’s Times-Union.
