A Milford man who allegedly confessed to police earlier this month that he was molesting a young girl has been arrested.
Victor Allen Searer, 36, of 317 E. Fourth St., Milford, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Tuesday afternoon on a charge of child molesting/fondling. Bond was set at $5,000.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department report, Searer and his church pastor came to the office on Sept. 2 because Searer wanted to confess to a crime. He told police that he had been molesting a 12-year-old girl for the past two to three years and the last incident occurred about the third week of July.
Charges were filed after the alleged victim was interviewed and related similar information.
