Make-A-Wish Fundraiser Set at Frog Tavern

Posted
SYRACUSE – Citizens of Kosciusko County are being asked assist a set of twins, Lacey and Hope Collins, who are now students at Wawasee High School.

Make A Wish Foundation is delivering a whirlpool spa tub to the family as the fulfillment of Lacey’s wish after Labor Day.

Lacey and Hope are 16 years old and were born three months prematurely to Karmen and Ron Collins, Syracuse. Both have cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus.

The spa will assist the girls’ parents with water therapy and be placed on the family’s patio. Funds are needed to enclose the spa so it can be used in all kinds of weather.

The fundraiser is at The Frog Tavern, 1116 S. Harkless Drive, Syracuse, and will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. It will feature silent auctions, cakewalk, raffle, door prizes and more in The Frog’s family room area. Any businesses, organizations or individuals who would like to donate items for any of the above can drop them off at The Frog Tavern.

Cruise with the family on the S.S. Lilly Pad II at 6 p.m. during the fundraiser. Enjoy easy listening music, desserts and beverages and a cash bar. The trip is $20 per person.

For those who cannot attend the fundraiser, donations can be sent directly to the Collins Family Fundraiser, P.O. Box 272, Syracuse, IN 46567; or to the Lacey and Hope Collins Trust Account, Crossroads Bank, 500 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN 46567.
