Main On Main Performs Improv Comedy Friday Night

Posted
SYRACUSE – It’s going to be a great night for improvised comedy as comedic actress Jessica Hardy makes her return to the local improv stage, according to a press release from Main On Main.
Main On Main improv troupe will be performing a free show at the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce office at 7 p.m. Friday.
Trained by filmmaker and actress Hardy, the group has been performing together since 2012, creating improvised comedy scenes for live audiences. On Saturday night, they finished first over six other improv troupes to win at the Improv Comedy Festival hosted by the Elkhart Civic Theatre.
Comedy improv is a theater art form used on shows such as “Saturday Night Live” and “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Improv involves creating scenes based on audience suggestions, with the actors "making it up" as they go. Audiences (and the actors) never know what they're going to get into.
Hardy, a Hoosier native, is known to many in the area for her filmmaking work as well as for teaching acting and comedy classes. She is currently based in Los Angeles, pursuing her acting and comedy career. She returns to Indiana to hit the stage with her former students.
Main On Main includes members Seth Anderson, Ian Crighton, Derick Gamble, Maddi Hart, Todd Lucas, Taylor White and Dustin Wolfe. The show is free and doors will open a few minutes before showtime.
The Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce is at 110-1/2 E. Main Street, Syracuse.
