Mae D. Evans Staley Blue, 75, of North Port, Fla., and formerly of Warsaw, died Aug. 13, 2009, after an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 12, 1933, in Columbia City, to Fred and Grace Evans. She married Robert F. Staley, who preceded her in death. She married Clarence Blue, who survives.

She spent most of her life in Warsaw, and over the last 20 years in Florida. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Venice, Fla., and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She worked as the Kosciusko County 4-H Extension agent and leader in the Lucky Lassies 4-H Club. She worked for the Warsaw Community School Corp., as a real estate broker and served the community in various other professions and organizations.

Also surviving are a daughter, Tamela Bott (and spouse Donald) Cole, Warsaw; two sons, Robert (and spouse Gayle) Staley, Goshen, and Anthony (and spouse Carol) Staley, South Bend; a stepdaughter, Cynthia (and spouse James) Ellison, Warsaw; a stepson, Barry (and spouse Judy) Blue, Silver Lake; a sister, Melba Stidham, Columbia City; three brothers: Jack (and spouse Betty) Evans, Anacortes, Wash.; Gail (and spouse Martha) Evans, Beaver, Pa.; and Dick (and spouse Janet) Evans, Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister, a brother and a stepson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 7 at Lakeside Chapel (across from the Boat House), Winona Lake. Burial will be at Venice Memorial Gardens, Venice, Fla.
