Madison Studies Life Of Butterflies

Posted

Second-grade students from Madison Elementary School have been studying the life cycle of the butterfly. Each child had his/her own caterpillar to start with. The caterpillar formed a chrysalis. After the butterfly emerged from the chrysalis, which took approximately three weeks, the students observed and took care of them by feeding them sugar water and orange juice. Observations were recorded in lab books. One week after the butterflies emerged the students released them. Pictured is Kelly Rivera, second-grade student from Miss Buswell's class.
