Twenty sixth-grade students served as safety patrols during the 2009-2010 school year at Madison Elementary School. They were recognized at the end-of-the-year awards program where they each received a plaque. The patrols also gathered at the high school pool for a party. Being a safety patrol at the Union Street Madison was a very important job because of the large amount of walkers. It definitely was challenging at times due to the weather, but they stuck with their responsibilities. Safety patrol members were Alexis Long, Marselo Rodriguez, Kendra Burns, Noah Pollnow, Samantha Roberts, Melanie Cervantes, Tonya Millington, Michael Blue, Aric Swihart, Jacob Alspaugh, Reagan Skaggs, Alexis Heeter, Gage Cutler, Jessica Skeans, Ana Garcia, Breanna Richardson, Reveca Moyotl, Jamey Shirk, Melanie Bennett and Gavin Smith. Receiving the award of Outstanding Patrols were Gage Cutler and Reagan Skaggs. Pictured are the 2009-2010 safety patrols at the pool party.
