Madison, Medtronic Collect For CCS

Madison Elementary School Student Council and the school’s Partner in Education, Medtronic, sponsored a canned food drive Monday through Friday, with all donations going to Combined Community Services. The classroom that collected the most cans won a popcorn party. Friday at 2 p.m., the entire student body helped load the food onto the truck for CCS. After Bill Lesley and John Mueller, from CCS, collected all the items at Madison, they then drove the truck to Medtronic for its donation. Students at Madison collected 3,798 items, with Marlene Byers’ fourth-grade class collecting the most food goods and winning the popcorn party.
