Madison Elementary School has an interim principal for the remainder of the school year.
According to Warsaw Community Schools Board of Trustees President Deb Wiggins today, Bill Landrigan is acting as interim principal at Madison for the rest of the year.
The school board will address Jeff Neumann's resignation as Madison principal at the board's meeting April 27 at 7 p.m. The reason behind Neumann's resignation was not disclosed."The new superintendent will work with the administration team to determine how to fill that position permanently," said Wiggins.
She said she hopes the board also can make a decision and announcement on who the new superintendent is at its meeting April 27.
Warsaw Schools Superintendent Dr. Robert Haworth announced his resignation last year effective July 31. The Warsaw School Board named Haworth as superintendent on Feb. 20, 2006. Haworth left Warsaw to take a job with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics in Kansas City, Mo.
On Aug. 1, it was announced that Ralph Bailey would return to Warsaw Schools as interim superintendent. Bailey had served in the interim position from August 2005 to February 2006 after Dr. Dave McGuire left Warsaw Schools.
Former Eisenhower Elementary School Principal Chris Gensinger was named assistant to the superintendent. Earlier this year, Bailey began working only one day a week, with Gensinger overseeing most of the duties of the superintendent.
