The Madison Elementary School Cardinals enjoyed several VIPs last week at school. The excitement began Monday when Superintendent Dr. Craig Hintz visited the first-grade classrooms. He read ‘Rocket Writes a Story’ by Tad Hills. March 12, the Cedarville University men’s basketball team from Cedarville, Ohio, visited Madison. The Cedarville Yellow Jackets were playing in the NCCAA tourney at Grace College. The players took time to read to classes and then played badminton with a physical education class. Every year the NCCAA holds a service project at each of its national tournaments, and this is one way players have the opportunity to impact the community in a larger way. The Cardinals were able to meet and interact with 13 players and six coaches/student assistants/athletic trainers. Cedarville were the defending national champion.
