The children in Amy Swihart’s first-grade class at Madison Elementary School recently celebrated the 100th day of school. In celebration of being ‘100 days brighter,’ the students made necklaces, played math games, did many activities for 100 seconds, painted to show groups of 10, learned poems, read 100-day stories, and each child brought in 100 of something to share. They also got a visit from Warsaw Police Dept. Lt. Joel Beam, who congratulated them on being successful scholars. Beam also talked to the students about their dreams and answered a large amount of questions. Pictured are Swihart’s class with Beam.
