MACOG Seeks Input On Regional Resilency Plan

Posted
Since April 2021, MACOG and Fourth Economy have been collaborating with its regional economic partners and community leaders to create the region’s first disaster recovery and economic resiliency plan titled “Collaborating for Regional Resilience and Economic Growth.”

This plan provides a framework to ensure economic resilience and recovery are at the forefront to help communities in the MACOG region to navigate through or withstand future economic disasters.

A draft plan is ready for public review and MACOG needs public input to ensure the plan reflects the public’s goals to help advance the region’s economic systems.

Visit MACOG’s website at https://www.macog.com/docs/economic_devel/MACOG_Resiliency_Plan.pdf to view an electronic version of the draft plan. A printed copy of the plan is also available upon request at MACOG’s office located on the 11th floor of the St. Joseph County County-City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend.

Through March, MACOG is seeking public input on the draft plan and there are several ways the public can get involved to share their input. MACOG will be offering an online input session on March 17 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The public will have an opportunity to hear a presentation to learn more about the plan and share their input with a team member. Registration for the event is encouraged and is accessible at MACOG’s Economic Development-Recovery and Resiliency webpage. The public may share their input by filling out the online comment form provided on MACOG’s Recovery and Resiliency webpage, visiting their office or posting it on MACOG’s Facebook Page @MACOGplan.
