SYRACUSE – Mabel Leola Bachtel, 78, of Syracuse, died Oct. 16, 2011, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse.
She was born Aug. 21, 1933, in Goshen, to Oda and Hulda Mullen Rarig. On Dec. 23, 1950, she married Homer E. Bachtel, who survives.
She was a lifetime area resident.
Also surviving are two daughters, Donna Hrynewycz and Judy (and spouse Stan) Thomas, all of Syracuse; a son, Robert (and spouse Judy) Bachtel, Syracuse; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Kevin Rhoades officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
