M. Christine Burns

AKRON – M. Christine Burns, 87, rural Macy, died at 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025.
Christine was born Dec. 30, 1937, in Rochester, to Calvin Keller and June R. Ault Hartman. On June 3, 1956, Christine married Harvey Dean Burns in the Akron Church of the Brethren; he died Oct. 25, 2018.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Wayne Balmer officiating. The interment will take place following the service in the Plainview Cemetery, Macy, next to her husband.
Visitation hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
Memorial contributions can be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church or to the Fulton County Literacy Coalition at the Fulton County Public Library.
