Gary and Sharon Mayhousen Lyon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 10. They were married at Grace Lutheran Church, Elkhart, by Pastor John Schnabel. They moved to Warsaw in 1966. Sharon retired as an elementary teach. She taught for 42 years, 36 years at Pierceton Elementary School. Gary, a retired businessman, continues to work part time as a hospice nurse. The couple have two sons, Areck (and spouse Lisa), Warsaw, and Kevin, Indianapolis; six grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
