In commemoration of Labor Day and in appreciation for the tradespeople working on the construction project and hospital employees whose contributions make the community healthier, a 20-foot by 30-foot flag was hoisted onto the wall of Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital, according to a news release from LKH.
“Our dedicated employees serve thousands of patients each year, including those who come to our emergency room in dire need of help. They will be there for you this holiday weekend, as they are every day of the year,” said Lynn Mergen, CEO, Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital.
“For many, Labor Day is a chance to enjoy the final days of summer but for construction workers, it’s also a celebration of an honorable profession that has had a tremendous impact on our country,” said Thomas Malony, project manager, The Walsh Group, the building contractor responsible for the leading the $30 million project.
