Luther Manuel, 77, Tippecanoe, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Columbia City.
He was born July 30, 1939, in Salyersville, Ky., to Ford and Dorothy England Manuel. He was married on Dec. 29, 1998, in Frankfort, Ky., to Donna Kaye Jackson Jackson, who survives.
He moved to Kosciusko County from Kentucky in the 1940s, graduated in 1957 from Pierceton High School and was a United States Air Force veteran. He was formerly employed with the Indiana Highway Department.
He was a member of American Legion Post 49, Warsaw.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Manuel, Tippecanoe; two daughters, Angel Spencerman, Bourbon, and Lorrie Cantrell, Warsaw; three sons: Brian Lee Jackson, Warsaw; James Loren (Lindsay) Jackson, Silver Lake; and Corrie Young Meade, High Point, N.C.; several grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia (Eugene) Gossman, Orlando, Fla., and Betty (Carl) Nettrouer, South Whitley; and a brother, Claude (Linda) Manuel, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
No public services will be held. Private family burial will take place at South Whitley Cemetery at a later date.
Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
