ROCHESTER - LuEdith M. Severns, 85, 3269 E. CR300 S., Rochester, died at 6:35 p.m. Jan. 28, 2008, in Hickory Creek of Rochester.
She was born March 22, 1922, in Rochester, to Ira and Mabel Smith Baker. On April 25, 1942, in Rochester, she married Dean H. Severns, who died April 29, 1952. On April 5, 1953, in Rochester, she married Jack C. Severns, who died Nov. 5, 2007.
She was a homemaker and owned and operated Severns Floral Shop. She was a member of the Homefront Club, Green Oak Club, Quilting Club and the Mental Health Association. She was a 4-H leader for many years.
Surviving are three sons, Daniel (and spouse Rita) Severns, Akron, and Terrance "Terry" (and spouse Lorraine) Severns and Gary (and spouse Janet) Severns, both of Rochester; a daughter, Linda (and spouse Ned) Heighway, Akron; three brothers, Waldo (and spouse Alta) Baker, LaPorte; Paul (and spouse Jane) Baker, Elkhart; and Ira Everett Baker, Churubusco; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, with the Rev. Butch Troke officiating.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros Funeral Home, Rochester.
