Lucy Marie SmithLucy Marie Smith, age 86, of Pierceton, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at 10:03 a.m. in Parkview Regional Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Lucy was born Aug. 11, 1933, in Kosciusko County, to Virgil and Orpha Jean Metzger Baublit. She was united in marriage to Billy Edward Smith in Angola, on April 4, 1955.
Lucy has been a resident of Pierceton since 1955. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pierceton.
Survivors include sons, Mark (Patty) Smith and Tim (Paula) Smith, both of Pierceton; Billy (Chrissy) Smith, of Warsaw; seven grandchildren: Jeffrey, Brian, Kurtis, Kaitalyn, Matthew, Lori, Katie; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Billy E. Smith in July 2019; a son, Richard Smith; and great-grandson, Jase Allen Jacquay.
A celebration of Lucy’s life will be held at a later date.
All arrangements are entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
