SYRACUSE – Lucy E. Rogers, 94, of Syracuse, died at 11 p.m. May 1, 2011, in IU Goshen Hospital.
She was born July 24, 1916, in Syracuse, to Eston B. and Ada Hinderer Clayton. On Aug. 29, 1936, in Syracuse, she married William E. Rogers, who died in 2001.
A lifetime Syracuse resident, she graduated in 1935 from Syracuse High School. She was a homemaker and a former member of Hex Rural Home Economics Club, Syracuse.
Surviving are two daughters, Susie (and spouse Terry) McDonald, New Paris, and Darlene (and spouse Fred)   Peck, Cromwell; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a sister, Verla (and spouse Kenneth) Stump, Cobbot, Ark. She was preceded by two brothers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox and Ken Stump officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling is from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Syracuse Cemetery.
